Maureen Wilkinson: Artist of the month for February 2008
Maureen Wilkinson’s oil and watercolor paintings are featured as the
Clinton Art Society Artist of the Month Exhibit at the Liberty Bank in
Clinton, CT. Maureen’s home and studio are in Guilford Connecticut. She
also lives on the Thimble Islands in Stony Creek, CT. She has taught
painting for over 20 years and has studied with recognized Connecticut
artists Janice Loeffler, Carl Henry, Jack Flynn and Lou Bonamarte.
Maureen uses oils and in watercolor painting mediums for her pastoral
scenes, seascapes and portraits.
Maureen’s paintings are included in the permanent collection of United
Technologies, The Coldwell Bank in Avon, Avon Old Farms Hotel, the
Governors House in Simsbury, the Farmington Inn and the 1820 House in
Simsbury. Her professional affiliations include the Essex Art
Association, The Connecticut Watercolor Society, the Gallery on the
Green in Canton, Avon Arts Association, the Clinton Art Society,
Guilford Art League and the Madison Art Society. Maureen teaches
watercolor and oil classes in several locations.
